Apparently over at tfw, the chrome issue(s) (over pipes mostly) seem pretty widespread.

It's widespread because those are the four sprue marks left over from the injection points and covered with silver paint. There's no way around it. Rather that then bare plastic. You can chalk that up to bad planning. But it doesn't help that the cut points are too wide. It's the same with MP-22 UM and the ugly sprue marks on the front of his forearms.

In the fourth shot, you can see the chrome coming off, exposing the orange plastic beneath - that's nowhere close to the sprue marks you're referring to. But painting the sprue marks silver is indeed bad planning and downright sloppy.

That picture looks like under spray to me, not chrome wearing off.

Re: MP-28 Hot Rod... Shipping/Release Speculation and Enthusiasm Thread
Woohoo! I got my MP-28 Hot Rodimus today. I had my hubby pick up my parcel from the post office on his way home from work. (It's pouring here in Vancouver.)

Definitely a better figure in hand compared to pics on line.
Glad I picked him up. He's not great, but he's far from bad.

Re: MP-28 Hot Rod... Shipping/Release Speculation and Enthusiasm Thread
Just picked up my mp 28 from slayback and have no issues at all .. best part I took Hot rods target master offshoot and mp 28 holds him very well and looks great together. sadly their no way (at lest I cant find one) to have offshoot attach to Hot rods alt mode. also is their a way to attach one of hot rods guns to Hot rods back?.. all and all I love him ...
