I suggest you both use canada post to print shipping labels, get the shipping discount that way and exchange tracking numbers before sending.
It is a risk for sure. Alternatively if you each used payapal and paid each other for the cost or even 100 bucks each, it would show you're both serious and at least have sone recourse.
I have done a lot of trades on instagram and I always just held my breath and sent it off on good faith. Most scammers have something really weird about them and seem to already be dicking you around before the deals done. Trust your gut.
