I hope they stay open in Canada, I've been reading that its not just TRU USA closing 200 or so stores as they claimed until this point, come Monday the entire company is apparently going under...and it could very well affect Canada and their Int'l stores as well...TRU Canada is solvent and makes profit, but I dont think anyone here knows yet what the end result would be. We really have not many options in Canada, the US has many more avenue's for getting figures..looking very grim.

I was talking with Protoman on FB about this.
If we lose TRU, online stores aside, Walmart will be our only option. Kmart and Zeller's are long gone, and Target crumpled like boxer with a glass jaw.
I think TRU need to change it's online business model. How many times have I seen, or heard of, a figure being in stores, but it's not online? Great current example, POTP Optimus Prime! It's not on TRU's web site last I checked.
They also need to start doing pre-orders. No offense to any of our sponsor online stores, but some your prices are crazy. I understand why, but I'm not paying $25 for a deluxe, plus shipping. If I could pre-order from TRU, at regular retail price, I'd have already done it for a few of the wave two POTP figures.

Toy City was owned by Consumers Distributing I would prefer Toys & Wheels to return.

Re: Ontario non sightings community chat.
I want Consumers Distributing back. Look through the catalogue, place your order and watch your plastic roll out on a conveyor belt. Ah the memories.

Re: Ontario non sightings community chat.
I honestly think that the Consumers Distributing Model and modern Online ordering would work well these days.
