Kabaya: Onslaught

Kabaya Onslaught

For people who don't like putting stickers on their figures or like to complain about putting stickers on their figures - this isn't for you. You're going to have to put on stickers and put your figure together by reading instructions.

So with that let's begin.

It's fricking easy to put this together.

You'd have to be hard pressed not to be able to do this. It'll take about all 10 minutes or so - more if you're overly cautious with the stickers and the sanding of the excess plastic. (yes some people will sand stuff down) The stickers however can be a little tricky in regards to the wheels. The wheels have some plastic detail so they're not flat. Eventually the stickers will come off - unless you glue them on.

The plastic is pretty decent and sturdy. The extra bits like the shield and cannon parts, the head…(the grey parts) are made with a different plastic- they has some flex.

Detail is pretty nice. For all the g1 fans - there never was much detail to Onslaught - and it still remains true in this small scale. His ramp and gun have more detail than the figure itself, but it works.

Bot mode. - pretty basic. but his arms have movement and because of a peg in the shoulder he can flap them up and down. No knee movement.

Base mode - Very nice. i like this the best Everything is nicely compartmentalized. You will have to do a little bit of pulling things apart. -Its not a full transformer where you can just turn things up and around etc.

Vehicle mode - he looks like the truck with the trailer. very g1 looking.

Torso for Bruticus - It looks like Bruticus.

Everything seems to be nicely scaled. For a candy bot -its actually pretty damn good. I like it better than the Deszaras kabaya figure. All the parts have a place to go - including the combiner head. The combiner head fits into the back of the Onslaught. its nicely hollowed out. Overall i like the figure. Its a nice scale to fit with some of the other large figures like Metroplex or a Fort Max. The plastic is sturdy enough that it does not feel like it would break. If you're so inclined - tamiya or gundam marker the wheels. Price range is about $8 -$10.

Re: Kabaya: Onslaught

Nice post. I'm looking forward to receiving mine from TF Source, but it won't ship out until a MP figure I'm waiting on arrives.
