Unless they're pre-1995, I wouldn't worry about it. Direct sunlight every day will destroy anything including your cabinet, floor, wall and furniture but if it's only periodic and the figures are recent releases I wouldn't worry.

I never knew about this.
Are post-1994 figures okay in the (sun)light? What's the difference?
