Exo-suit Spike = Completley horrifying

I just transformed him for the first time and I have to say, Spike literally gets ripped apart....


Going from Suit to Vehicle
#1 Spike has his arms and shoulders ripped off his body
#2 Arms twisted around, possible broken elbow
#3 Legs snapped off at the femur and then pushed back further into his body

I don't have the toy but judging by the movie I always just assumed that Spike's real arms and legs are always within the suit's torso section and that the suit's arms and legs are fully robotic.

I think a couple of different times they showed both versions..One where the pilot is located in the torso and another version where they wear the suit like an Ironman armor, which somehow allows for the transformations.

In TF:TM, when Daniel transforms into "car" mode, you can see his hands on some control sticks as he drives away.
I always figured that they just occupied the torso of the suit. They were much taller and, there's just no way their arms could go into the arms of the suits. It just looks anatomically impossible.
