G1 Hot Rod Re-issue thoughts

Liked:

Metal feet
Rubber tires
G1 Box
Original long leg stickers
Red side decals (not pink)
Removed arm pins
Extra warning sticker on instructions

Disliked:
Crappy instructions
Backwards in box

Undecided:
Foil stickers

Anyone else with thoughts?

(PS Mine has a chunk missing from one half of one arm where the fist meets. Not really acceptable for a $40 toy that size.)

Re: G1 Hot Rod Re-issue thoughts

Yeah I was excited to see him "in the wild" yesterday and quickly scooped one up. As I was walking away I noticed the "$39.99" price sticker on the shelf. No thanks!

And was the original G1 Hotrod this small? I realize the last time I saw it I would've been a much smaller human... but he just looked tiny in his little backwards box.

G1 Transformers are tiny! G1 Devastator isn't that much taller than an individual Combiner Wars Constructicon

Re: G1 Hot Rod Re-issue thoughts

I love it. I grabbed one for my misb hotrod/rodimus collections and one for my open hotrod display. I've always wanted a misb g1 hotrod (I've got a takara targetmasters misb) no way I'm paying what a misb g1 hotrod is going for, this looks good enough for my display.

I'm getting it, but I would have preferred the Targetmaster version!

Me too! I still have the original so I am still undecided to get this or not.

Re: G1 Hot Rod Re-issue thoughts

I have both versions, regular Hot Rod and TargetMaster Hot Rod so I'm gonna skip this one.

Honestly, just seeing the g1 box on the shelf is worth the price to me. Nostalgic as eff.

^Yep.

I have the Commemorative Starscream, and the Commemorative Hot Rod. I didn't figure on picking up Starscream, but did after seeing it in-store a few times. I figure the same will happen with Hot Rod.
