Re: Places you paint your Repaint
I use my unfinished basement to do my work. Lots of space for toy parts, tables for painting, airbrush and other customizing tools. Good times!!!
Before that when I lived at home it was in my bedroom which wasn't the greatest place to do that.

Re: Places you paint your Repaint
I use our front porch. A window on both side for venting(summer or winter) and for lighting. And a little tv for cartoon watching while customizing.

Re: Places you paint your Repaint
like the work space Racer... so has anyone built a spray booth? I've seen on airbrush forums with some nice ideas, but I'm wondering if anyone here has custom ones?

n5somniac: freedomgundam's setup has an entire room for it but he moved.
I paint in backyard lay down the parts on glass table covered with news paper then lock it up tight in my TF box closet.

I'm impressed that you remembered.
Still have the spraybooth at my new place, but it's not 100% set up yet. I'll take a pic of it when I have the time.

Re: Places you paint your Repaint
For me all sprays have been retired.
I do everything in my living room - on my couch - ah the wonders of the brush

Re: Places you paint your Repaint
I airbrush in my bedroom out of an open window, but I used several cheap-ass tricks.
#1
Cardboard box with 2 sides removed placed through the window. At the external end I place a fan blowing outwards. This creates a 'tunnel' for paint fumes and dust to leave and ensures nothing stays.
Can't say anything about the neighbour's car right outside...
#2
Space heater. It's awesome.
Point it towards yourself and the object being painted. The paints/clearcoats dry so fast, it's possible to do 5 coats in a day (lacquer).
I don't use spray cans. Too risky, too unhealthy.

In a 4x4x4' completely sealed room in the basement. Wanna get hiiiiiiigh? :P
