Opinion on what will be cheaper

I've preordered all the new MP cars coming out, inlcuding Tigertrack.

I'm wondering if those of you with experience shipping from overseas could offer your opinion on which will be cheaper in the end...

Figures listed overseas are around 59.99 a piece while at canadian retailers they are 80$+...

If a guy were to order Prowl, Blue streak, Smokescreen and Tigertrack...

would the savings in the price of the item make it worth getting overseas, or would the shipping and customs kill any price differential.

Depends if you get ding'd by customs or not.

Shipping would be 30-50$ correct?
I assume you're going through RobotKingdom (I was looking at doing the same).

RK marks theirs as gift and declares it in Yen - this is usually good enough for customs to pass it through without much fuss but if you're already on their list for importing goods which should not be marked as gift they'll ding you.

I find it always works out, if ordering multiple items, to order from RK. Like others said, as long as they mark it as a gift with low value...which they do, if requested...then its a no brainer. The figures tend to end up costing less, shipped, than NA stores listing prices before shipping, tax, etc.

Re: Opinion on what will be cheaper

I just ordered Tigertrack, Prowl, Bluestreak and Black Convoy from Robot Kingdom. They sent me a confirmation email but requested that I declare the value on the parcel to provide more protection as lowering the declare value will reduce protection by the post office. Would including the declare value in the remarks section mean that I would probably be dinged by customs? Just curious. Obviously not declaring the value means that if the parcel is lost/damaged I'm on the hook for the difference so I'm wondering if declaring the value of the parcel is worthwhile.

Depends on who you order from, how expensive if their shipping, will they claim full value and thus kill you with customs....... ect
