Does Movie Bumblebee owe his massive popularity to the new Chevy Camaro?

I am pretty sure though that the sales for the Camaro would have still been the same regardless if Bumblebee was a Camaro or not. There is a waiting list for these cars across North America and I am pretty sure that not all the people that have purchased one even know that the car was in the movie. It is an amazing looking car...better in concept than production...but whatever...

movie bumblebee is absolutely kick ass in both movies. loved him in G1 back in the day but boy did they bump his char up to god status in my books. his fight scenes all were kick ass. and he wasn't affraid of anyone.

but the new camaro is the hottest car on 4 wheels IMO. loved it before they announced BB was going to be one.

I would kill for that car. but i think they go hand in hand,.
kick ass character needed a kick ass alt mode. and they couldn't have picked a better one in my mind.

no.i agree with the guys that are on the side of the "camaro" owe's it's popularity to bb. bb has been around since g1 and since day one,he's just as always been a character that kids could relate to.having him in the newest movies just cemented that even further.heck,he could have been toaster and the minute a kid see's a yellow toaster,guess what the kid thinks of???back to point,no,bb doesn't owe the camaro anything.

i think the camaro would have sold, but not like it is, it definitely owes BB, and most likely GM will owe the movies big time for them staying afloat, screw the stimulus, make movies
