Re: The Masterpiece Appreciation and Speculation Thread

The classic Corvette looks great, but robot mode doesn't look as good... Wheeljack is much better, I feel..

Is the stand for the car in flying mode?

Re: The Masterpiece Appreciation and Speculation Thread

I am not particularly impressed by the robot mode either. As I recall, this will be the 1st non-Hasui MP car (not including MP09) and it shows.

Re: The Masterpiece Appreciation and Speculation Thread

All of the previous MP car issues were innovative when they were released. Sideswipe, Prowl, Wheeljack all wowed me when the sillouettes and eventually photos started to appear.

For tracks, I am not wowed. It looks like he is just more of the same and yes, I think the legs are too skinny.

*all of that said, I got my pre-order in already...

That could be because you prefer the other characters/older toys more, but thats fine. I know its the same for me with hound and brawn, could almost not care. But he does look a little lanky, I don't know if that could be helped with the wings, fins and shoulder cannons though.

Well once we get this figure in our hands maybe you'll enjoy the bot mode more.

For me I'm looking forward more to displaying it in flight mode, robot mode is OK but flight mode is were it's at and he is almost a triple changer to boot

Re: The Masterpiece Appreciation and Speculation Thread

I am more curious about Ironhide and Ratchet. Can't wait to get a look at the prototype. Lets just say the G1 toys were a bit of a let-down compared to the cartoon. I really hope the don't do a cab/cargo split. I'm not interested in MP Space Winnebago V2, If you get my meaning.

Let down is a understament for the g1 bots, but the mobile gun placements were cool though.
