SHRINE: Awesome New Way to Show Off Your Collections

Hey guys,

The ShelfLife team is currently planning out our next few months of functionality upgrades and we've got some pretty exciting plans on how to really take collection display to the next level on the web.

We are calling this project SHRINE.

We're looking for a few beta testers to work with us by providing some quality pictures of their home shelving and collection displays so that we can build some prototypes for the graphics approach.

Basically we're going to make Flickr collections a thing of the past.

If you've got some awesome photos of your TFs or the capability to take some and want to be a part of something awesome, hollar!

Got a few pics in my collections thread as well (link in sig). Can't fit them all on my shelves, so I had to display em on the deep freeze for photos.

I'm going to have to do this too. I was just thinking that I'd have to re-shoot because my set up has changed since I last took pictures, but it'll change again after TFCON.

I would but my basement just flooded on the weekend... my collection is all in boxes for a few weeks. I'm a commercial photographer too.

Hey everyone! Thanks for the fast and friendly responses!

If you guys are already set up on SL, sweet. If not, set up your accounts (only takes a minute or so), and send some pics to us at everyone@shelflifex.com.

We'll be providing functionality that works even with bad pics, but to show off the potential what we really want is pics of you surrounded with/nearby some treasured toys, with some empty space as well, like a wall with nothing on it.

Throw what you got our way, and we'll be upgrading your accounts within the month with some cool stuff you can show off while you lead the way to our upcoming major functionality upgrades later this summer.

Also, did I mention that this kind of activity really pumps your Collector Score (coming soon) and that your score dictates who gets first dibs at the exclusives we're working on?
