Re: What era were you most sad to see end?
G1.
I can legitimatley say I was actually sad when I couldn't buy Transformers toys in stores anymore. I'm pretty sure the last one I got was Action Masters Rad.
My 11(or 12) year old head nearly exploded with Joy when G2 rolled out!
Close 2nd would be Animated...the show and toys were just starting to hit their stride.

Re: What era were you most sad to see end?
I picked Animated.
I honestly don't feel like G1has ended in a lot of ways, too many other things are too similar. We still have G1 comics being made, while so much of G1 goes into stuff like Prime, Animated, the Bayverse, so on.

Re: What era were you most sad to see end?
Animated. Because it still had so much it could do, and certainly not because the unreleased Season 4 had an entire episode dedicated to Cosmos.
That plus it's just insanely awesome.

Re: What era were you most sad to see end?
I like G1, but I think it definitely had its run.
G2 on the other hand got totally cut too short (err, the comic book that is, I mean 12 issues? C'mon!)
But otherwise my vote would be for animated because it was indeed awesome, despite the fact I never really got into the figures.

Re: What era were you most sad to see end?
Animated. So many dang loose ends didn't get tied up that I wanted to see finish. Sucks they didn't get the chance to release season 4.

Re: What era were you most sad to see end?
Animated, I was still a kid back when Beast Wars ended, so I can't remember exactly how I felt. I'll be sad once TF Prime ends though...

Re: What era were you most sad to see end?
The Beast Era.
It was not only the end of one of the greatest shows ever made in Transformers history, but it marked the end of many things.
Mainframe no longer had their other powerhouses ReBoot and Shadow Raiders on their side, giving us Weird-Ohs instead.
It was also the time when YTV was going through another one of its changes, where 90s television was their golden age and focused on shows of the new millennium. But deep down,I knew, since then, that the channel was growing up,despite desperately clinging to their rebellious attitude through FarScape or Buffy or the late Anime shown then.
They, like 90s shows went away with the Beast Era.Quality Canadian writing was dissipating, television returned to cel-animation and the CG guys that went after Mainframe could not capture the dedication, passion, and art that they did with Beast Wars and Beast Machines. The legendary Voice Actors become more known in the Anime world.
I know I made a small speech out of this, and I am going overboard on it,but when I look back to seeing the final Episode of Beast Machines for the first time,I knew that it was a real ending of an era,and how appropriate to end it at the year 2000.
Never forget.

Re: What era were you most sad to see end?
G1 Season 1 &2. Definitely classic. Good background story, great characters with personality, realistic hard science plot. Then The Movie came and everything after that was just ridiculous. I finally finished the G1 complete series on DVD not so long ago, and realised why I forgot about TF in the first place. Season 3 and the so called Season 4 really suck.

Re: What era were you most sad to see end?
I'd have to say Beast Wars/Beasties more so because it marked the end of an era for mainframe than the series itself.

I really dug RID, in a way it was similar to Beast Wars in certain respects. It really irks me that we haven't gotten a proper DVD release of it in Region 1 all because Saban sold their shows to Walt Disney (And as far as I know, they only bought back Power Rangers).
