Re: Did I miss something...

Sentinel - The company that makes this giant Scorponok - is a Japanese company. I just got their Convoy pen and it's totally awesome.

This Scorpy is more articulated than it looks.

Check out their TF line-up.

Re: Did I miss something...

Why would anybody pay for that
At that price?
Some people have money to burn
and that is what some people will do is burn money buying that thing! Ridiculous there are starving children in the world and people would buy this at that price and not feed a hungry child!

Re: Did I miss something...

Really - you would say something that stupid? you're part of a forum that is based off purchasing things that are a luxury item - you buy toys -that $$ could be used to feed a hungry child. That $$ you casually use to purchase things at walmart of any other retailer, that costs pennies to make - could feed a hungry child. Your retail name brand clothes? The candy bars or any other non necessity item that you purchase can go feed some hungry child. What the heck are you talking about?

The same people who can afford a life size Han Solo in carbonite.

But please, don't be so presumptuous.

Okay so I could go into how when dealing with a luxury item that price is not a factor but other non-tangible values are such as sentimental and emotional value to someone.

Prices are what people pay but given your ridiculous straw man argument about starving kids in the world it just wouldn't really register.

It's possible there were licensing restrictions.

Transforming pens and consoles is one thing, but making a new version that transforms of an actual character's design might be going too far for them to give the license to.

Re: Did I miss something...

^^ that would be funny if he transformed into a giant pen!

I think Fort Max and this guy are going to look amazing standing next to each other. My issue is the third party combiners and MPs competing for my wallet right now...without them I'd probably take the plunge on this guy.

Re: Did I miss something...

I agree that Sentinel Scorponok figure is way over priced at about $600 bucks where as a similar figure like Jakks 24" Godzilla is $60.00. It seems this company has the greedy toy company disease that Sideshow and Hot Toys already have. Somebody is making a huge profit on these toys and its not the starving children or factory workers in China making them.
