Re: transformer budgeting

I'm around 15-20%. I've been working on lowering it and would like to lower it more. I need to be even more selective in my purchases. Included in that amount is my travel expenses to the Action Figure Exo, 80's Toy Exo, TFCON, and any events. Might have to reduce that to just TFCON.

Re: transformer budgeting

The key is to define your collection.

What is your primary objective?
If a figure outside of your objective might be added to your collection, what are the exact requirements for it to qualify?

Another consideration is "regret".
Do you tend to regret buying figures outside of your primary objective more than not-buying figures outside of your primary objective, or vice versa?

Personally, after a few "bad" purchases outside of my primary objective (MP & G1), I have become better at refraining from "oddball" purchases that I end up regretting. Eg., I have CW Combaticons, SkyLynx, and Devastor, but I am really okay with passing on the other CW offerings. I picked up CW Powerglide too, but I wasn't hunting for him, and I gave it to my boy.

My budget... Probably under $500 a year, plus select MPs.
Like no Primal for me. What is that?
Also passing on most oddball/diaclone MPs (eg, black/yellow/gold Sideswipe, red Tracks, and bizarro Wheeljack). Delta Magnus intrigues me though. I acquired StarSaber when I was in a better financial position.

After a few 3P MPs, I'm finding it easy to pass on them.

Re: transformer budgeting

My Hats off to you all.... I spent around 1000 dollars on my combined (not a pun) Combiner wars last year... I'm super happy that my list for this year is in the 150-200 ish range I think I figured. Thats NOT including a Fort Max mind you... though if I HAVE to choose between the less expensive Fort Max and a new GTX 1070 card, I figure the card is the better value.
