Guest autograph prices

Just checked the TFcon website and there's still nothing listed. Just wondering when the prices will go up.
Now that we're only 2 weeks away, those of us who'd like to get autographs probably need to start figuring out our budgets.

Re: Guest autograph prices

I understand David Kaye and Hal Rayle being $30 for an autograph......but David Mendenhall? Oof!

Re: Guest autograph prices

I've never been big on autographs, but I decided I will get one from David Kaye at tfcon. I bought a boxed transmetal megatron specifically for this purpose.

Is there anything I need to know? Will the marker at the table be fine for autographing the clear plastic on the box? (that's where people seem to get toys signed)

Anyway, thanks for any info.

Re: Guest autograph prices

Glad to hear you'll be getting a signature. TFCon is one of the best places for autographs. It's a very relaxed atmosphere and you always walk away having had a great fan interaction with your favorite voice actor or creator.

Here's some tips:

-Always be polite and personable with whoever you are asking to sign. Manners and a smile go a long way. Of all the tips I can't stress this one enough.

-The guests at TFCon have all kinds of sharpie markers at their table to sign items with, but it's always good to buy a fresh new one and have it with you just in case.

-Signature placement is key so in the weeks leading up to the show, look at the box and figure out where you'd like the guest to sign. On the box by Megatron's image? On the plastic over the toy? Politely let the guest know where you'd like them to sign before they start scribbling.

-Also, figure out what color you'd like the guest to sign in. Black is the usual "go-to" and blue is nice sometimes, but you never want someone to sign dark ink over a dark area. However, since it's a toy and will most likely be on display you really want the signature to pop so perhaps gold or silver. Ask the guest if they have the specific color sharpie and if they wouldn't mind signing with it.

-Next, decide how you'd like the guest to sign. Just their signature? Signature with character name? Or maybe you'd like it dedicated to you with a character specific quote. Usually a celeb will ask how you'd like it to be signed before putting pen to item, but if they don't, don't be afraid to ask "Could you please sign it ____".

Hopefully this helps and you come away with a great looking signature. From all accounts David is a nice guy who loves his fans so no doubt you're going to have a great time meeting him!
