The end of the First Round ends with Sweden defeating France (2-0) while England is victorious against Ukraine (1-0).

And now,the Quarter Finals!

But back to the fold of things and we start with the Quarter Finals between Portugal and Czech Republic.

Things are off to a slow start.Tensions are arising between players,lots of pre-kicks and corner kicks being the core strategy between the two teams,and many are questioning whether or not Portugal's infamous player,Christiano Ronaldo will lead the team to victory again.

But the Portuguese and the Czechs won't give up.Again and again they try to score,but misses and catches from the goalkeeps is making this First Half just as intense as any match we've seen so far.Despite the tension evolving to take down players,still no goal has been made,even with an extra two minutes before Half Time.

And at the Second Half,nothing but the same plans to get that one goal,and even with a header from Portugal,it was far offside to get that one goal.Players are going down one by one,but the sheer determination isn't over yet.

And the answer is received,as Christiano Ronaldo,once again,scores the goal of the game with a header.

Today's match is between Germany and Greece.

Less than five minutes in and the game has turned into a battlefield between the Greeks and the Germans,the ball being the one thing that keeps each player pushing,bumping,and even tumbling after to the point where medics come in.Maradona himself said that "If 300 Greeks were able to hold off 10,000 Persians, then 11 Greeks should certainly stand a chance against 11 Germans." but how can we know for sure?Based on what we've seen five minutes later,the players have became less like athletes and more like warriors,striving for the goal.But they must remember that they can't keep away from being Carded.Attempts after another are made by the Germans,led by Klose,but even they can't get their way past the posts.The battle rages on,even where incidents of diving are present.Whatever the case may be,there is still a long way to go until the end of the First Half.

And in one brief moment,Lahm has taken the kick to sweep the Germans to their first goal.iAlmania!iiiiGOL!!!!!!The team cheers,the coach cheers,even the Chancellor cheers for victory.But what of the Greeks?They look solemnly as the Germans attempt another goal,but even when Lahm takes the shot again,it was offside.But even with the extra three minutes,a small sign of relief comes from one team,while a sigh of frustration comes from the other.

On the second half,the battle continues with signs of great effort,but the next goal comes to Greece thanks to Samaras.However,if Fans remembered previous Euro or even World Cup matches,never underestimate the speed and determination of the German team.Not one,not two,but three goals were made Khedira,Klose,and Reus,but the Greeks weren't giving up,as Salpingdis takes the second goal.However,all great matches,must come to and end.Even if Greece will not take the championship,at least they came down fighting to the very end.

Today's match is Spain vs.France.

Early on,Alonso has taken the victory way before everyone predicted the outcome of the match.Even with Inestia and Xavi,Spain has already outmaneuvered France throughout the First and Second Half.But the anger,desperation,and willing to risk their goalkeep to ensure a goal for themselves got Alonso to score again with a Penalty Shot.For his 100th appearance,the man was at his finest hour,right at the dawn of the extra four minutes of the game.Even with Torres trying to get a third goal,the outcome has finally unfulfilled itself,and France goes home tonight.Now,the Spaniards have a chance to get the Championship again,but first,they must go through Portugal.

It was also Spain's first ever win against France at a major finals. Last time they met at World Cup 2006, Zidane and co destroyed Spain 3-1.
