I'm with the OP. Limited run exclusives and U.S.-only releases are a large part of what ruins the fun of collecting for me. I'm supposed to pay scalper prices + shipping + import fees for what should be a mainline release? Blargh.

Ever since CW started I've been buying Takara figures almost exclusively. After the POTP price hike it's going to end up being cheaper for me too.

While it wont ship to a canadian address, you can have her ship to a US based pot company that will either hold it for you close to the border or ship it to you. And to split your costs, TRU has a buy 2 get one free campaign right now so you could buy two arcees and something else and split the costs of the ordeal with a friend who also wants Arcee.

How do you do it for TTmall exclusives that dont ship to canada? Like Grand Galvatron, Defensor and others?
