Poorly Animated 80s VHS Transformers

Hi Everyone

I've been trying in vain to find something that is part of my childhood.

I remembered in the 80s there was the "Regular" transformers cartoon that was badass...

But there was also this other VHS version that had almost no animation and incorrect voice actors.

What was that???

What do you mean VHS version?
Was it not on tv and VHS rental only?

What was incorrect about the voice actors?

Nope... None of those things.

I don't remember renting it... I just remember owning it.

It was tied to a book or something. Or maybe it was included with a figure? I can't remember and it's driving me mad.

It was multiple stories and one was the story was about megatron drilling into the earth or something.

Was it this? If not, check this list for VHS tapes from back in the day.

Somehow, that ep was animated by Hanna Barbera, so had a more kiddy look, less animated cells.

But the story was good, and it was the same voice cast.
