TRU Perceptor & Insecticons - Buy now or wait it out ?

Picked up the TRU exclusives today.

But a little steep at $100 + tax...so my question is do you think these guys are gonna shelf warm for a bit until a sale comes around ? Or are they gonna disappear as fast as they appeared ?

I probably wouldn't be thinking about the price tag too much if I was employed...and it's probably related to the $50 I spent yesterday on Volumes 3 & 4 of the X-Men Animated Series lol...but still let's hear your thoughts !

Are you gonna wait and hope they stick around on the shelves...?

Or are you gonna go out and get them without even so much as a 2nd thought ?

As soon as I see them, I will let you know. The price is definitely steep... but the reissue Soundwave came and went so quick that I would assume these will do the same.

We had 10, I assume 5 of each, show up at one of the Toys 'R' Us' here in Winnipeg, and they sold out within the day.

I'm getting Perceptor soon as I see him [if I see him], and waiting on the Insecticons. If they go cheaper, rock. If they don't, such is life.

I just know I can't really afford either, let alone both. So I chose one and I'm'a ride it out.

I'd say buy them when you see them. My experience with the Toys R Us reissues, like Soundwave, has been "if you don't get them when you see them, you won't end up getting them." Don't pass them up! If you see them, grab them! The chances of these two becoming shelf-warmers, particularly the Insecticons, is very slim.

If these shelf warm, I will be very suprised. I can see Perceptor staying on the shelf for a few days once these are no longer new, but the Insecticons? hell no!

Though the sticker peeling issue is %$^& annoying on the Insecticons.... It's as if the purple plastic is covered in oil! But it isn't... grr

But yeah, people will troop build with the insecticons, no chances of those staying on the shelves. I think so anyway.

Even at their pricepoint i'd agree with the others that they will be gone just like soundwave was. Can't see any stock left for a sale.

I highly doubt these 2 items will shelf warm. As it was said a few posts above, you don't want to pass them up while they're out. I will take my chances and wait if they go on sale. I was pretty close to biting the bullet for the Insecticons tho. Even just the boxes looked sooooo nice. Wallet was screaming, couldn't do it.

reissue Soundwave didn't shelf warm. my TRU had a limit of one per person when Soundwave was released. I highly doubt these two will shelf warm.
