Onslaught not selling...??

Just as the title says i noticed something which I found fairly strange, all the Onslaughts i've put out at the wal-mart i work at about a month or so ago havent moved. The same amount of Powerglides were put out and even a couple of them sold i believe. I only find it weird because I personally find Onslaught to be an amazing toy, as well as seeing him sold out on many websites at an even higher price than what wally world charges. I mean i might shed a single tear if i saw that guy in the clearance aisle hahaha, anyways just an observation lol .

Funny, I see the opposite. Onslaught sells while Powerglide sits.

Re: Onslaught not selling...??

I have 3 of each sitting on the shelf at my Walmart. Neither of them are moving, yesterday I had 14 boxes of them and I had to put them in the back as overstock lol

The Universe Voyager repaints? Yes, they are all shelf warmers. Why? May be because they are just repaints not new molds? This serve Hasbro right. I won't cry if they loose money on these. Too bad.

As for the Onslaught not selling: because there is no show or movie with him in it? Not to mention it is a $34.99+ figure so they are not as easy as the Deluxes $14.99 to swallow for parents. The (G1) collector types like us who are interested in him have bought him already somewhere else. These Ultras are not limited edition anyway so Hasbro bounded to make tons to flush the shelves like everything else they made.

Re: Onslaught not selling...??

They've really only been out for a few months. That's not really enough time for a figure to "sell out" not to mention the lack of advertising and commercials. Fact is Universe is not it's core brand.

Hasbro looks at long term, not short term.

Re: Onslaught not selling...??

Both of them warm the shelves for two different reasons:

Onslaught: Is awesome, all collectors want him, but to kids he just looks like a evil box with some wheels on it.

Powerglide: The collectors are passing on him, but kids luv a plane.

IMO.
