I have not read Shattered Glass in any form but i hope its good enough warrant yet another reason for Hasbro to repaint figs over and over again but i suspect its not... since no one ever recommends it.

Harder and harder to buy 50 dollar figs that are basically customs.

ehhhhhh. SG isn't a mainline release. All the Pulse exclusives have lower runs. They're niche products for a niche audience. It's less ridiculous than when you get something along these lines taking the spot in a retail wave.

I see your point but I find the current strategy at hasbro to be a little bizarre. Do they think kids hate variety so they want 12 seekers a year of the same mold while waiting almost 3 years for a set of dinobots. Are 80 dollar action figures really aimed at kids?

Should we capitulate to a multi-billion dollar corporation about re-using molds in one of their toylines meanwhile prices keep going up? Did we create this situation by being ok with constant re-use so they can "save money".

Im hoping with raised living costs people stop buying all these repaints and we start getting new molds.

Hasbro can have an good idea of how many adult collectors there are from sales on Hasbro pulse, web site only store.

I have around 30 transformers, total. I've gotten almost all for good deals.

I don't think kids five a shit and they certainly aren't dropping 50-80 dollars on *one* toy.

The rising costs are not simply "oh covid and war." They're an attempt to maintain profit margins with a shrinking customer base.

That said constant reuse is nothing new. I dunno.
