Re: POTP impressions

Yeah after opening Starscream... yikes. Those stickers won't last long with normal play.

In plane mode, I cannot get the arms attached to the legs and then the wings on mine. Both seem off by at least a few mm and the connection seems to be at a weird angle.

The leg flap flip-down design choice is odd. Actually makes tabbing the legs together harder.

Re: POTP impressions

Only messed with 4 figures so far and it’s been 50/50. Grimlock seems good in all 3 mode, just wish he came with a weapon. Slug is good in bot, Dino and leg mode but his legs don’t stay together for arm mode. Swoop is good in bot mode except his left hand keeps popping out. In leg mode and arm mode I have put his sword in the hole in his beak and tilt everything down to keep it closed. Dino mode is just ok, his upper and lower beak are a floppy mess.
Darkwind is very solid and great in all 4 modes, except as an arm his elbow joint is a little loose.
I don’t know how deep I’ll get into this line. I don’t see any leaders that interest me and only a few legends. Looking forward to Terracons, Fembots and Predacons though. Only getting the Dinobots for my son.

Bottom line , they stopped trying, stopped caring. My boys have been playing with most lines of tf and even they stopped bothering going to that isle.

Thanks!
I just watched some video reviews and I wondered if there was a better way for truck arm kibble.

Interesting thing is, unlike the Hot Rod evolution, this Orion evolution does not feature 2 separate vehicle modes.

So Orion does not have a vehicle mode, this is actually Optimus Prime's truck plus trailer.

That is unbelievably silly.

TABBED BY THE FISTS (makes the forearms perfectly parallel to the ground)

TABBED BY THE WRISTS (this pushes the arms more inside the body, but the tab holes on the wrists are perfectly angled to tab on the chest plate tabs in this positon)

This makes total sense. I thought I noticed tabs on those arms and I've not seen any explanation on any videos. Nice find!

Tested it out this morning - PM Metalhawk's Vector Prime has a flatter (and thinner) volume than TR Metalhawk's big golden face, which sticks out more
Despite this, there is enough empty space in the decoy suit's "backpack" region to fit the added face volume easily (decoy suit clicked shut with no forcing)

If one wanted to, you could probably deck the decoy suit out with TR Metalhawk's guns and have the body in plane mode, only downside is the TM has an unpainted face (argh)

Incidentally, I ended up loving TR Metalhawk, thought he would be one of the "meh"s from Strength set, but he is pretty sweet
Pounce is probably the least impressive, he's definitely weaker than Wingspan
TidalWave>Metalhawk>MagnusPrime>Thunderwing>Pounce (for me) (having a diecast fully-painted TM is pretty fun, plus he's got fangs)
