Yeah, sadly it is no joke
First the CBC Radio Orchestra (I know most of you prob don't care) and now Air Farce... too much for me

Definately bad news...one of my fav shows on CBC, even went live a few times...plus Jessica Holmes is a bit of a hottie, yah i'd tap it !
Looks like the new year's eve special will be their last...will have to try to get tickets.

Re: I was hoping it was an April Fool's joke..
I'd be more broken up if the show had been funny or relevant for the last decade.
I would have loved to have seen the cast keep rotating and span generations for years to come, but that just doesn't work. Look at what that did to Saturday Night Live, every season has been less funny than the last.

LOL! That is so true. I used to love it when it first came out, but the last little while, tuning in was just kind of boring. I'm sure something else will develope out of the ashes.

You are correct there, He made it funny, i use to love that guy. Though i still watched it even when he was gone, it was never quite the same without him. I can;t believe it's finally ending

Re: I was hoping it was an April Fool's joke..
I hate to say it, as the air farce is a Canadian institution, but it might be better this way. The original cast are getting on in years, and the new cast don't seem to be doing as well. I think putting this show to rest rather than letting it circle the drain is a better idea.
Who knows, maybe someday in the future, with a new cast and new writers, it'll rise from the ashes. But considering its the CBC, I wouldn't hold your breath.
