It's weird how so many people are having issues, I've had mine since he first came out and I've transformed him several times and now issues. After reading all the comments I'm now afraid to transform him ever again in fear he may break

My first one broke at the knee.
I bought a new one and have kept it in package. Shame, but I'm not risking another broken toy.

Then I have been very lucky. I have Takara V1 and 2 Hasbros and knock on wood they are all just fine

I had a Hasbro MP Rodimus. Same thing happened to me. The arm just fell off. I really want this MP but I just can't bring myself to get another, as I can't justify taking another chance on it. However, my friend has two takara and one hasbro and all of his seem to be fine. Sooo who knows for sure what might happen over time. We might of just been the victims of bad luck and QC.

Mines fine, it's just the two tabs that connect the backpack to the car in vehicle mode that I'm worried about, they're showing stress marks and are made with very thin plastic, but I'm sure this is a known issue too.

My first three Rodimus left arm broke off (shoulder...damn pin), the fourth had a problem with a leg panel and my fifth is fine for now but doesn't transform that well

I put mine back in the box -- I'm moving soon, so I had to do it anyway.
If you do so, the packaging should support the arms so that they won't fall off. No guarantees, but I think I'll be leaving it this way.
My MP Rodimus just transformed into an Action Master.
