It almost sounds like he paid then to write the article.
1. Buy companies that have had profitability/are dying
2. Load them up with cheap pop culture crap/impulse buys (especially Pop Funko?)
3. Enjoy the profits.
I get that he has knowledge as a toy distributor, but you also need to analyze and predict trends. Pop Funko/nerd junk products can't carry the weight of a retail stores' rent forever. Trends come and go.
Again, I'm not the target buyer demographic, nor am I a collector of Pop Funkos, but I think the market is over saturated already. I don't really need a Star Trek Enterprise pizza slicer
