I found both Amiami and AE have it for pre-order, I ordered from AE based on past experience.

Friends, order now and don't regret later when Hasbro release its version 2 years later with double the price.

Do we have to pay up front with AE?

Nippon-Yasan has it listed for slightly less than Anime-Export, but I'm not sure if the difference in shipping cost will offset that. What do you think?

Yes unfortunately. Shipping gets paid later when the item arrives in their warehouse

How closely does AE stick to their deal deadlines? This one's July 27. I want to wait til after TFCon too, but if they tend to preorder sell out before those dates, I'll do it now.

Not sure as I've never tried it before but have no choice this time

It's a 50/50 chance. At least in my experience, I've seen items sell out prior to their deadline and others be available right up until the deadline date.

All depends on the popularity of the item, I think.
