So this was my first shot at a repaint.It is a gift for my wife.We are all aware it needs a touch-up,but I need to get a brush and some good paint to do that.Just thought I would share so far and see if anyone had any ideas on fixing my mistakes.Thanks

I believe the goo on the windshield to be a mix of paint and tape residue.I tried removing it,but I am in fear of making the paint look worse.Any ideas?

And this cant be said enough.DONT TOUCH IT RIGHT AWAY!!!

Yes,I am that guy who has to put his fingers in everything before it dries.Im sure I will have to strip it and start over,but it was fun and a learning experience.Much thanks to EchoTransformer for the donor bot.

Also when I went to seal the white painted parts the clearcoat turned yellow?Any idea what might have caused this?

the white turned yellow probably because your clearcoat has passed it's natural shelf life.for the paint/tape residue on your windshield,have you tried using 90proof isopropyl alcohol?the stuff works wonders on both tape residue and cleaning up paint edges.as a bonus,it wont melt/fog the windshield/transparent piece.

All I have at the house now is 70% Alc.I will pick up some 90 this week.I just bought that can of paint yesterday.Go figure Walmart would sell me something old.Thanks Chans

Use the 70% it will work fine for that...

Thanks for the info and cudos guys.It doesnt compare to most things shown here,but for my first im gonna be happy when im finished.Will update.

Looks cool. Is the pink to make him Arcee and headmaster = dAniel?

And what up with the cigarettes? I don't recall Transformers having a smoking problem!

Yeah,the pink is to make him Arcee.I saw a prototype pic of him done that way.And I have the problem,but then again maybe she had a nic-fit and that is why the clear is yellow.
