Well, if being a real fan means I'm an exclusionary, elitist blow hard, such as yourself, then by all means, label me as a casual fan.

Actually it was your own reply to the stuff before JJ that gives you away as not a true Star Trek fan.

But hey, that's fine. You can like new Trek all you want, I enjoyed the movies for what they were as well; Sci-fi movies loosely based on what Star Trek was.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII Discussion

Let's be honest here, all the previous Star Trek movies sucked. Sure the reboot isn't the most accurate depiction of the TV shows, but it sure was more watchable than the crap that precideded it.

If they were to make an accurate Star Trek movie/remake they'd have to make one boring ass movie.

Ontopic: Just finished season 6 of clone wars and I have to say I really wish the series had continued into episode III. As by then end, it was getting pretty good lol.

Completely untrue, the fact that Star Trek is one of the most successful franchises in history proves it.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII Discussion

I do think what Abrams did to Star Trek is similar to what Bay did to Transformers. Many people will hate what he did, but he also made a series relevant to a new generation.
