Re: The US Prime First Edition craze

Nope. Not happening. I told myself I wasn't going to buy any of the Prime figures, and you evil demons of temptation shan't change my mind. While I can kind of understand trading them for something else at an inflated cost, I'm still reminded of the people who paid $50+ for Windcharger and I feel terrible.

I think selling Bulkhead for $70 is probably worse karma.

Re: The US Prime First Edition craze

I want a Sky Shadow and I asked my usual hang out place if any of the American would be willing to trade one for any of the FE Deluxes.

I know Starscream is widely considered one of the best toy of 2011 so I could put one aside in case I ever want something you can't find in Canada.

I don't want to go into any sort of deep scalping or start an ebay store or some crap. I'm just wondering if it would be a valuable bargaining chip in the near future.

Not really enough profit in it to make it worthwhile IMHO.

Overall, I would agree with this. However, I see no harm in picking some up for trade bait to help you get something you are having trouble finding here.

When everI buy for trade bait it always falls apart. Crazy though how they didn't get these figures. I am very happy that I got when I did; I have only seen Bulky once.

Re: The US Prime First Edition craze

I've got to agree with big dawg here, the fact that we got the first editions and they didn't just means that picking up a couple extra figures and using them to pick up some rarer classics or put towards a masterpiece is not a bad thing, I think it's fine to take advantage of it without exploiting it as some members tend to.

Re: The US Prime First Edition craze

I don't even have Bulkhead, CJ or SS yet from the FE Prime figures, why should I buy stuff for somebody in the states?

Sure it's great to help out a fellow fan sometimes, but if you don't even want the toys and all you're doing is eating up the product from Retail so you can trade them off, how is that helping the budget concientious among us who haven't even managed to score the Prime FE figures they want?

Of course I'm a hypocrite because I bought a second CS Sideswipe from TRU when it was on sale for the express purpose of re-selling it on the secondary market. So... Yeah, feel free to ignore my above comments, if you can score a great deal go for it. Just remember to leave some for the rest of us.
