Canadian Conventions 2008-2009

I am starting a listing of all Canadian genre conventions that may contain Transformers related presence. I would llike to have the cybertron.ca community's help in maintaining and updating the list.

If you know of a convention, simply list it in this thread. Include the name of the convention, the dates and the city/province it will be held in. The conventions have to be Transformers related and so need to be focused within several categories:

1. Toys - Cause that's how they started and thats what we want!
2. Sci-Fi - It continued as a cartoon about robot aliens and rare DVDs might be available.
3. Anime - It is a cartoon, that is often voiced by the same actors in Anime (Japanese made toons should qualify as anime - Victory, RiD, BW the Second etc...)and I've found rare Japo
4. Comics - Some of the best stories and art are in this form

You can mention the Gaming cons, but since that is not a huge part of TFs, I will not list it in the main list. I will make exceptions, but just don't include Furry Cons...

Also, if you know of transformers related guests, exhibitors, dealers and the such, please make mention of it. Perhaps some of what appears here can become news worthy.

One thing to note, is that in 2008-09 Canada is host to three of the most important travelling cons: World Fantasy Convention in October, World Horror Convention in April 2009 and the fabulous WorldCon (SciFi) in August 2009. It's as if we got the Olympics of Sc-Fi/Fantasy, but in three cities!!!! (Neil Gaiman will be the Gusert of Honor at the World Con).

Did you read the main entry?

It's sort of like the Transformers Sightings, except that instead of stores, we are looking at Conventions. If you need to move it, at least include it in Transformers sightings....
