Whos better Transmetal 2 Megatron or RID Megatron?

Ok so this new store opened up in my area called the Bargin Shop and they have knock offs of Beast Wars TransMetal 2 Megatron and RID Megatron called Beast tech riders. The have no paint apps there just molded plasic un-painted faces but have all the things they came with. Each one of them costs 12 Canadian dollars so my question is which toy is better and should I buy one?

I would strongly recommend tracking down an open version of the real deal. KOs usually just lead to disappointment.
As for which one is better. It depends on your taste. RID Megatron is considered one of the most versatile transformers ever made. What is it like 8 different modes? TM2 Megatron (is that the dragon version?) is a really nice alt mode but not as interesting over all.

I wouldn't buy the KO's as they're often of inferior quality. If you can afford the real deals, get both!

Pass on the KOs.

Don't support that industry and get a nice deluxe TF onsale.

knockoff's are a waste of $$$, i would rather go buy the real deal stuff off ebay, but i would recommend RID megatron because it's 7 modes instead of 2 or 3 , but you can always get the RID galvatron repaint which has 10 MODES!!!

I find KO's are only good for Kitbashing... But there are a select few that are actually very good quality.

Re: Whos better Transmetal 2 Megatron or RID Megatron?

If you are going for the real deal anyway, I would suggest the RID Galvatron over the Megatron. The white and black make it look much more bad ass than the purple IMO. Sames goes for the TM2 Megatron, Cryotech in its blue colour scheme looks awesome but is more expensive and a little harder to find. The KO versions of these two toys are not that great and are made of poor plastic. The TM2 one is not so bad but the RID Megs is terrible with very loose joints and just not very good overall. See if you can find them loose on eBay. A3U does see these figures occasionally and we would sell both of them around the $30 to $40 mark when we get them in. I am sure eBay would have them even cheaper.

I also agree on the 'KO = Bad' viewpoint.

But if you must....pick up one I would sugest the BW TM2 Megs...the beast mode is one of my faves of the series. RID Megs is good too, but sufferes from the 'Has too many modes and looks good in only one or two'

If these are from the "Animism Defender" line, avoid them. Although some of the smaller stuff from the line is ok, the plastic quality on the big megatrons is crap and they will break the second you get them out of the package.
