I've tried the 3 TRU's in Ottawa and none of them know what I'm talking about either. I guess they ran out.
Does anyone know if there are any in Toronto still?
Thanks in advance.

That's weird because even if they ran out you'd figure they'd still remember having them. The promotion period was from end of June until the August.

Re: Toys R Us 25% off coupon code
Thanks chovner and freakx2001 for the information. You are great contributers to the site! I pre-ordered Metroplex on Monday, without the 25% off code. I called today, the lady gave me no problem whatsoever. She said she couldn't cancel my order (which I prefered, since it was a pre-order), but she would credit me back on my credit card the 25% difference, with tax. Perfect!

The coupon is not reconized on pre-orders only.
PS, it's also a Hasbro coupon not TRU,s I was told

While that logic makes sense, it's not clearly defined on the coupon (has restrictions but says nothing about preorders). Secondly, unless they've fixed it since yesterday, the online code doesn't work on anything, regardless of if it was an in-stock TF or preorder...so I feel for ya.

She realized I hadn't been charged yet, but still issued the credit. Who am I to argue?!

Funny story about this coupon book. I went to the exact same TRU as chovner and ONLY after showing the store manager the picture of the coupon (curtsey of chovner) on my phone did he actually know what I was talking about. He looked about and said looks like we're out. I got half way to the truck and he came running out saying he found them. Had a huge stack in his hand, so I asked for a few extra.
WTF TRU? Get your shit together. Now to deal with the ridiculous TRU online phone call I need to make.
And who in there right mind would say getting 25% off $130-$140 item "IS NOT WORTH IT"?

Re: Toys R Us 25% off coupon code
TRU Barrie had a stack of coupons behind the customer service counter. All I had to do was ask.

i'm not saying 25% off is a bad deal, but it says you need to purchase 20$ worth of stuff to recieve the book and and with the extra 10$ mark up on metroplex you basically paying almost the same amount. in my case theres absolutely nothing i want at tru at this moment so it doesn't seem worth it to me. also its not like you can get it just like that, the fact that it seems like you need to "harass" the employees for not knowing about their own coupons seems like such a hassle over 35$. add to the fact that some people are actually going to different tru's to get this book, gas/bus fares cost money man
