Share your JPA stories

JPA standing for "just playing along". You'll quickly understand what it means with the 2 following examples (true stories).

---

JPA version: I was just playing along with my Universe Classics 2.0 Ironhide when his paint melted in my hands.

Translation: I was trying to custom paint it and used so much thinner that it removed all the paint.

---

JPA version: I was just playing along with my Henkei Prowl when his gun snapped in two.

Translation: I was trying to make the gun barrel level but forced it too much and it broke at the hinge.

---

Your turn!

You already broke your Henkei Prowl? How long did that last? Always seems you just buy the toy and I was JPA and it broke...like my JRX Mightnight Express's arm signed by the voice actor...bring it back from TFcon, tried to get it flush with the rest of the train body and *snap*.

Re: Share your JPA stories

It broke less a minute after opening the packaging. But I should be able to quickly fix it.

JPA version: I was just playing along with my Classics Rodimus when his pin fell out of his right elbow joint.

Translation: The pin is half the length it's supposed to be - it fell out because there's no rough part to keep it anchored in.

Re: Share your JPA stories

Well, back in 84 I just got megatron fresh out of the box and after I completing the robot form (who needs instructions?) I said it doesn't look right. The barrel is to be up just like the cartoon....big mistake, whatever you do don't do it :P

That and my Omega Supreme on the first transformation to robot, pulling out the tank treads at little too far can cause breakage My grandmother and I returned it the next day and the samething happened a week later. I bought one of of ebay last year (mint) and I only transformed it twice, I'm too scared

Re: Share your JPA stories

I was JPA with my G1 Sinnertwin, when French patriots came through a warp in the fabric of space time and decided to behead him with a Guillotine.

Then I was JPA with my G1 Vortex when his arms passed a resolution voting to secede from the ball joints on his shoulders.

Am I doing it right?

Re: Share your JPA stories

I was JPA with my TFA Prowl and his thumb almost snapped off
Translation: I put superglue on the handle of the traffic light weapon so that it would hold in place in his right hand. His left hand, however, had not yet been worn down by throwing millions of shurikens, so, upon placing(forcing) the "nunchuck" in his left hand it got stuck. After eventually popping it out, his thumb was attached by a mere millimeter of plastic.
