Even at a 100 bucks its not worth it for motormaster. The bot mode is decent but the trailer is garbage

From what I've seen, this Motormaster is SO CLOSE to giving us what we expect from an MM
Namely, the big ole truck cab feet (with a boxed-in head being a close second)

But for me, Legacy MM's legs are just a little not quite "it" - it's got those brutal kibbly knee-cap ornaments hanging out, and the leg "housings" seem like they're "draped over" the feet, when the feet need to f*ckin stick out - like, the feet on this are so short comparatively, they're practically hooves

*makes image* I guess it's the all-black legs too; the feet don't stand out as much compared to the old G1, and for me it's basically a defining trait

The comparison to the G1 toy is definitely not going to hold up. Legacy Motormaster is going more for G1 toon accuracy.

The Motormaster core bot is one of the best figure I’ve bought this year. The whole package is totally worth 99$.

Haha, yeah, I guess the whole "studio ox" Menasor should have been the giveaway, huh

Honestly my only real complaint is the trailer length and using a spring mechanism in the combined mode legs.

He just looks like a more detailed version of the G1 bot.

Re: Amazon.ca Transformers Sightings and discussion

While I love MM & Rodimus Prime equally (both aren't perfect and equally overpriced by $40~50 @MSRP), in terms of engineering & play value, MM wins over RP by a mile. It's on its own a big, lanky "armor-less" Menasor.

As I can't afford a 3P G1 line, this Menasor will be the definitive figure for a long while for me.

Re: Amazon.ca Transformers Sightings and discussion

Damn, Motormaster's deal for 99$ on Amazon is over. I didn't think the 99$ mark would be good enough a deal for everyone to jump on it, but it clearly was enough to sell out of the deal. Walmart has no stock for this item either. Wonder if stores will get more stock of this item as the holiday season goes full force.
