Re: Man Cave

I currently have a man cave apartment. However I'm moving into my first house right away and it will be a full sized house man cave. I may throw up a build when I take possesion.

Re: Man Cave

I knew what you meant and yes I have a room for my man toys. And my kids toys. For all my toys!! It's even starting to spill out into the living room.

Re: Man Cave

I would but I'm afraid of them getting yellow so I try and hide them in dark corners in the house.

Re: Man Cave

Definitely got one.

That was one of the discussed items when my girlfriend and I bought our new place.
The place has 3 bedrooms and no basement. So one's a bedroom, one's an office for both of us, and the other is my man-cave, or as other people call it, the "Model room" or "Robot room", even though there's more than just models and/or robots in there.

They make crazy things called "blinds". You put em on your windows to block sunlight!

Hope this helps you with your man cave lol

Same here. When we were house hunting, one of the houses we looked at had a room in the basement with nothing but Star Wars stuff. A life size Darth Vader, figures and vehicles in glass cases, the works.

From that moment, I knew I wanted something just like it for my Transformers. But I don't call it a "man cave". It's a nerd cave.

I could use some help with mine, though. We moved here in August and it's the last room left. All the robots are still in boxes. All 700 of them.

I would like glass display cases but they're ridiculously expensive. I've checked glass and acrylic companies and retail store fixture places. The only non-astronomical place is IKEA but I'd still need a bunch of their cases.

Those of you with man/nerd caves, what's your main method of display? What would be the ideal?

I keep struggling because I'd rather drop the money on robots

Re: Man Cave

Someday I will have to get one, having my collection in the 'wild' in what we call the office makes me nervous every day =p
