New limb for Bruticus

Hi there,

I saw this mod on our southern friends threads (TFW2005) and really wanted to try it out.

I started with modifying Heavytread and transforming him into Brawl....

Then modified him to make him fit on the famous Fansproject Bruticus.....(small black round thing on the back bottom)(back view of black connector in limb mode)

That works perfectly. I'm surprised that FP didn't make a conversion kit just for this very thing. Much better fit for Brawl.

Re: New limb for Bruticus

turned out great!!!
though imho i think he would benefit from a red visor and maybe silver on all the rivits/small mold detailings to help brak up the green a touch.

now do vortex to make your set perfection!!

Re: New limb for Bruticus

Red visor would be good, I'll try that and try to break up the green...For a Vortex, now that will be a challenge.....it would be a good start to find at least, a blue/grey vortex from the ROTF set instead of this beige one....

Re: New limb for Bruticus

Looks terrific. I've been planning to do the same with my spare Heavytread. Did you paint him up or did you just strip away the camo paint?

Took apart the robot taking the small pins out and repainted it using Tamiyas TS-28 called Olive Drab2.

Awesome! I'm glad I picked up a Heavytread to do this myself.

Re: New limb for Bruticus

LOL, that small round thing on the back of the tank mode looks like a tire from a LEGO set.

Re: New limb for Bruticus

WOW, you're good. That's exactly what it is....2 tires from an old set I had superglued together, grinded down to a smaller size and drilled a bigger hole in the middle so that the connector goes in better. Works great, holds on tight and since it's rubber, is always flexible.. and the joint is made from another piece of Lego, a 2 pin piece that bends 90 degrees....good eyes for spotting it out...

Re: New limb for Bruticus

Used to have a bunch of Lego motorcycles (ones that came with a few policeman figs) and recognized the tires.
