Re: Shipping Pros and Woes - Let's hear your stories!!

I've heard horror stories from fellow board members about loose figures being shipped in an envelope! No wrapping. No security for the weapons. No rigidity at all. Who does that?
Some of these toys are like glass and seeing damage on a third party package makes me cry.

Re: Shipping Pros and Woes - Let's hear your stories!!

I recently had a shocker of a shipping tale.
picture this,i paid for canadapost, regular mail, signature required etc.
it should have been roughly the usual 4-6 business days.....it got there in two.....
the nice chap I sent the package to inquired with Canada post why it got there so uber quick and the reply was that this time of year they try to pound everything through as fast as possible to ensure presents/packages are under the tree in time.....
good to know

Wow!

Well here is another tale of woe that just happened yesterday..

Bought a $325 USD item from the US on the provision they would ship USPS.

Package arrived via UPS, accompanied by a COD of $85 ($67 of which was brokerage and tax on brokerage). Needless to say was not happy at all.

Blizzard (Activision) did the same thing to me last week, only they shipped FedEx. When I told the FedEx woman at my door their brokerage fees were out to lunch she tried to tell me it was all the Canadian government duties and takes for customs.

I laughed at her and told her she was full of shit. Right on the invoice itself was their ridiculous fees and taxes on those fees.

EDIT*** Needless to say I will not be ordering from Blizzard again. They won't ship to Canada unless it's FedEx (And they don't tell you that anywhere on their site. My order was free shipping. LOL, yeah, free my ass, cost me 57 dollars for a 68 dollar order
