Got my pre-order in at Automaton earlier.

Other fandoms aren't as lucky as us Transfans to have such good retailers in Canada.

Re: New TFC Hercules PO Now Up

Concerns have been raised by some over at TFW2005 boards about TFC quality control. Anyone following that and still preordering?

I did, but what I've been reading about problems with Heavy Labor are.. worrisome. As simple a fix as they claim it is. I don't want, nor should I need to be taking apart a $100 toy to fix it myself. And there seems to be more than just the 'simple' thigh fix going on.

But we shall see, they seem to have gone an extra step to make things right with Exgraver. But that was simple, they just threw in an extra part that just plugs in.

The gears in the waist going forward and back, the part that goes into them is too strong, and after a few uses, will squeak and strip the gears, has me back on the fence, we'll see what mines like when it gets here

My Heavy Labor has stripped gears on both legs. Moving them forward the ratchets are fine. In the other direction, they don't bite anymore and there's a screeching squeak instead of the ratcheting sound. He still stands firmly, but the worry is when combined, will the hips still hold with stripped gears.

TFC just emailed me for my address so they can mail me replacement parts. I just hope they are of a new material so the same thing doesn't happen again.

I'm still on board the Hercules train despite the problems: TFC has proven that they listen and are trying to make everything right. I've got Crank and Structor pre-ordered and paid for with Robotkingdom and I am keeping those orders with full confidence in the figs yet to be released. Even if they have their own QC issues, TFC will fix them.
