The cheap option was USPS Priority Mail International for $26.10. I don't know offhand if that has tracking or not.. But I know my Primus did, and was still much bigger and cost less to ship.

But they charge extra for Bubblewrap and signature confirmation.

But they seem to use a 3rd party to handle their shipping. Maybe that is adding the extra layer that we're not seeing??

I don't know, there seems to be a little something missing, and I presume it's been like this forever if your an international customer. So, I doubt it's going to change anytime soon.

It's a lot of guesswork..

But it seems in regards to Sideburn he's starting to show up for some people now. With any luck the rest will be arriving soon to everyone.
Cheap option is not tracked. Tracking usually costs extra when doing international shipping.

Well yeah, I had typed up a post yesterday actually, about middlemen, and how whoever it is is probably charging a fee for filing the customs paperwork when it comes across the border.

When you just throw things in the mail (and I assume bulk mail) it's the sender who declares what the product is, and the value.

If you're shipping via courier, or you have a shipping company that's handling whole pallets for you and then distributing product in Canada, you have more involved paperwork requirements, and they'll charge you for that.

That's why UPS and other couriers generally cost more than just shipping by mail (USPS or Canada Post). They charge you for the import paperwork.

Re: TFCC Problems

Received mine today as well. Whatever International Surface Airlift is, it must be really slow.

Edit: Sources online say it should take 14-60 days, but may reach 90. Also, this URL (http://www.answers.com/topic/isal) says that they wait until an entire 750 lb shipping container is filled before it is flown to Canada in our case. Things are starting to make sense now.

.....interesting.

This explains why all the other Sideburns got shipped right away, too, while these didn't.

In other news, more people from Canada need to buy stuff via that shipping method around that time.

Re: TFCC Problems

Miy Sideburn arrived today. The box was beat to shit, but the toy is all good cept one of the wing tips is bent slightly. I'm just happy he showed up.

I really can't see myself signing up for the TFCC again. Even if this is not typical, the rudeness of the customer support was enough to turn me off.

Re: TFCC Problems

I finally got my TFCC Sideburn, and I'm really impressed!!!!, I was reading that he was coming to members busted up but mine was in perfect condition! although I could have sworn that in the pics he had the Autobot Symbol on his chest but he didn't when I got him, oh well I'm extremely happy
