A guy from BC today, let's call him James Andrew - emails about my local Kijiji listing for a US Card Deluxe Chromia. I quote him $20 for shipping and he actually questions it.

I send him a link of weights and measures on Canada Post's site and it's too much money.

If you're going to ask someone across the country to ship something - get a clue what shipping costs in Canada before you make contact...

Ive got a guy that lives around the corner that I want to buy a 20 dollar n64 from but every time he makes arrangements to meet he backs out or has an excuse.... Its frustrating

I've only ever used Kijiji once, and it was a few years ago when I was looking for a kitten, since people tend to give kittens away for free on there. The first three attempts at finding a kitten were no good, I'd find a post about a kitten that I thought looked nice, would call the number provided to ask if the kitten was still available and if I could take possession of it...would get voicemail instead. So I'd leave a message asking them to call back, and they never would. I'd try calling a few times, get voicemail everytime and my message was never returned. It wasn't until I found a family out in Ilderton that was giving away a litter of three that I was actually able to make contact with someone about the kittens they wanted to give away.

And that's how I got my cat Jazz.

I saw this ad this morning. I have been ripped off in the pass and I know exactly how that kijiji seller feels. I really hope that this guy isn't a member here because that would be f***ing really shitty move on his part and also doesn't look good on us as a community as most us do double dipping(if this makes any sense).
