Is Roller (Rollar?) for MP-04 official?
I saw this toynewsi.com the other day
http://tformers.com/article.php?sid=10012&ss=as
At first I thought it looked nothing like G1 Roller, but the design is starting to grow on me, and now it makes me want to REALLY buy MP-04...
But is this an official Takara product, or is like the aftermarket Megatron kit?

Re: Is Roller (Rollar?) for MP-04 official?
Not official.
I believe it's made by the same guys who made the City Commander and Classics Cliffjumper Upgrade Kit... I think. Maybe it's another design group, but either way, it's not an official Takara release.

Re: Is Roller (Rollar?) for MP-04 official?
TFC Toys makes it from my understanding. They are the same people who made the coronation set for MP Starscream.
They have the pre-order for Roller up at BBTS http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/p...09&mode=retail
and some other places too I do believe.

According to the WRD@TFW podcast too Vangelus mentions that this is also a garage kit type kit as well so not only do you have to assemble it, it's also unpainted as well.

Much like a Gundam kit, I suspect the parts will be molded in the proper colors.

Re: Is Roller (Rollar?) for MP-04 official?
Actually, Rollar will be ready to play, once you open the box. No assembly will be required, except changing the different hands. If you seen the Starscream Coronation set TFClub made, then you know they sell complete products that do not need anything to be finished by the customer.
I think what Vangelus meant was that the nature of this product comes from the whole Garage Kit scene, where fans make official looking products. But they cost more due to whats available to the fan, compared to a big company like Hasbro.

Venksta, aren't you one of the secret designers for City Commander and this one? Or at least involved financially?

Re: Is Roller (Rollar?) for MP-04 official?
I'm helping the FansProject group out with stuff(mostly art related). Not an official member...(as in they haven't shown me everything yet, like the Rodimus upgrade kit). Their friends with the TFClub guys, so I get to hear stuff about their projects as well. FansProject and TFClub are totally seperate groups. So their not working on anything project together. This Rollar figure is totally done by TFClub's own designers.

Re: Is Roller (Rollar?) for MP-04 official?
I'm actually thinking of selling off all of my non-80s TFs to get a (preferrably opened, non-mint) MP-04 and complete him with the Rollar figure.
Am I crazy?
