Re: Anyone else starting to suspect they may be in too deep?

Man, Slumblebee. I remember seeing him at TFCon one year and trying to convince my daughter into getting it. Call it intuition. She flat out refused and opted for a poster. Not too long later she decided she wanted one. No big deal...yea right...could not find one anywhere. A coiple years later one showed up at TFCon for $10. I almost jumped out of my shoes to buy it lol. Thats my story......

Wow, 10$ was the going price back inthe day.
At that price, If it's clean, jump on it!

Although Softimus Prime is more the fantasy cause he has a truer Transformation.

When I think about how:

- my ShelfLife album is already well over 100 figures;
- I haven't finished updating it yet;
- I've progressed from only buying what I really want to tending to buy whole waves;
- a number of figures are going into storage unopened;
- my wife is starting to complain;

...then yes, I start to wonder if I've gone too far. :P

Yeah, you might want to watch that, bro. It has a way of sneaking up on you, then BAM, you're buried under a ton of toys that you look at and say "Why did I buy this?"

Try and find a focus for your collecting. I, personally, try to focus on just getting show characters. Sure it might mean that I may pass up some excellent figures, but it keeps my collecting under control.

Yea, when I first started I bought alot of figures I thought were neat and then realized later on that I just wasn't into them.

So I focused my collection and now I collect MP, select Third Party and Beast Wars.

Re: Anyone else starting to suspect they may be in too deep?

Every day I say, "Okay, now I'm done... I'm going to focus just on this now" and then something new comes out that my brain magically justifies... like the Starscream Kreon Battle Changer (it's Starscream so I'll just get that one) or suddenly Rat Trap and Snarl are only $10 each (well, Rhinox needs his buddy and Snarl is a Dinobot).

Technically I'm only collecting MPs now... and or cool G1 figures... or Starscream related items... or things that are on sale...
