So Atari's Transformers game is still the best game we have.

I'm actually enjoying the game so far. Sure there are little frustrations (like a lock-on that does not seem to lock-on)... but really what game does not have minor issues.
It looks really good. It is fun enough to drive around a smash things. Combat is decent enough.
Overall... Totally worth my gaming dollars!

Good to here, as long as the maps are big and you can TF whenever, I'm sold.

I know I am not completely objective, but I really like the game.
I have been a fan of Transformers for more than 20 years and that influences my reaction to the game.
Being able to "be" one of the robots and to roam a map while finding items and completing objectives make this game an enjoyable one, at least, for me.

I think the games fun. The only part I don't like is I can't transform while I'm jumping....and ramming decepticons while in vehicle mode don't seem to do much damage to them.
Also: Stupid humans stop shooting at me! I'm trying to save your ass!

Re: Transformers: The Game: Flat out sucks?
I've beaten both the DS versions of Autobot and Decepticon, I'd say it's an ok game, but it's hard to compare/rate, since it's the first of its kind on this console. I'll admit scanning for more vehicles was fun though, wish they could've done more than just make 5 of each car and give it different colourschemes. Give me a G1 Prime Truck any day!
But I do admit a lot of things needs to be worked on, this game seems rushed. Namely:
-The lack of missions instructions (If anyone has played the last decepticon mission, that objective was SO informative (not)).
- Graphic glitches, I'm starting to see semi-invisible TFs that come up to find me in certain parts of the map. Although the glitches/poor AI does help on some of the bosses.
- The G1 Jetfire/Starscream exclusive in which you can only get at Target, which is non-existent here in Canada, so it's more or less impossible to get.
- The Allspark wars; although fun, you're just competing to grind on these destroy the area missions as much as possible, that's no fun. I was expecting online campaigns and missions against actual DS playing people. (Sort of like a tournament).
- Poor viewing controls (namely the L and R buttons) when trying to view the enemy behind you. Was really annoying on the last mission of both games.

This is surprisingly annoying. Some of the sequences would be that much better if you could pull this off.
