Cool Burger King Transformers Wave 2 Toy Review/Preview

Sorry for the late review, the toys were delayed till much later in the week outside of their normal tuesday shipping date. With the movie coming out in 24 hours or so, every minute is killing me ^_^. Anyhow this week we got Blackout and Ironhide.

Now Blackout does not transform. His gimmick is you run him along a flat surface and the wheels under him will give the rotor blade some friction to then catch wind and fly into the air. Blackout is your typical BK toy, every promo or so they always have some rotor gimmick toy. With GI Joe they had a "Blade Spinner Snake Eyes" toy, with Superman Returns "Super Heli Launcher" toy, and so on..... he is ehhh..... could be any toy line if you didn't tell me it was a TF toy.

Now Ironhide is fun. While he does not TRANSFORM into a robot, he does convert into something. Pull back Ironhide in vehicle mode and it will release 3 hidden panels with guns and an Autobot logo. What is interesting about this toy is the detail on the guns and around them as well as the Autobot Logo "bay area".

What I like most about this toy is it's "play value", he is like one of those Micromaster bases. His autobot logo bay has a spot for a micro sized TF to sit and command an attack Just a little cute thing I like about it. Ironhide is worth picking up for the $1.49 he is. Also the 2 toys with World's Smallest Hot Rod are also BK's upcoming characters, Ratchet and Bumblebee, more on them as the weeks come. Hope to post again soon about these guys. Enjoy the movie!
