What next?

I am a new collector. I have the classics, which I started with, and a few beast wars, which i'm collecting now, but since I like collecting two lines at once, I don't know what the other line im going to collect is. Help!

Re: What next?

Masterpiece. You are not a collector unless you have a DVD or MP-prime as your center piece.

get the transformers DVDs. All of them.

get G1 prime and megatron. as well as your fav. (think of it as old school)

have to get something from the movie line. i got 08 BB, and arcee and Jazz.

Alternators, not all of them, but the cars you like.

get a seeker set. either G1, Takara, MP, or PVCs.
But not Classic, the Botcon exclusive are too expensive for their value.

get a fort max KO.

missing any of the above, and you are not considered a true TF collector.

I fixed that for you.

Alternators is what brought me back into this.
Damn you Alternators Smokescreen... This is all your fault!!! Yeah, some of the characters were very WTF... but overall this (to me) has been the best overall line from start to finish.

Other than that, I would agree you have to have some form of G1 & MP Prime.

Yeah, I don't have any Masterpieces in my collection myself.

But over 100 TFs says that I should be considered a collector.

Re: What next?

Yeah, I don't really like G1 Prime or G1 Megatron. Classics Prime and the 20th Anv. Prime rock, even though the big Prime is outside of my collection "scale". See since I got back into this I've been big on the scale idea, Prime has to be bigger than Mirage, Megatron needs to be equal in size to Prime etc.... I'd say figure out some G1 toys that kind of fit in with your classics and seek them out. I started with a Tracks Takara reissue and now am looking for the Dinobots to go along with classics Grimlock. If you've missed the movie toys some of them are great as well, 08 Bumblebee and Leader Prime come to mind as the best examples.

Hey skywarp's shadow,

You will get a lot of advice from fellow members/collectors here. Most of the advice are good & sound.

However, my piece of advice is absolutely and positively "beyond a reasonable doubt" the most important!!!! In fact, you have to consider my piece of advice before anyone else's!!!!

Here it is ...

"You only buy TF figures that you can afford given your budget and without jeapordizing your relationship with your girlfriend/wife, parents, family, friends, job, etc."
