Disney just bought LUCASFILM...

http://www.theforce.net/topstory/sto...ilm_148646.asp

...and they're making Episodes 7, 8 and 9!!!

Even if they do hire Miley Cyrus as an updated "Rockin' Country" Jedi Leia it'll be way better than Bantha poodoo gags and Midichlorians !

Inconcievable!!!

Walt Disney Studios just bought out Lucasfilm... They own it lock, stock and barrel and already greenlit Episode 7. They're talking about it like crazy over at TFW... Should have nabbed the link to show it off.

I am just utterly blown away. The House of Mouse now owns the Sith, the Jedi and everything else.

What does this mean for the next season of Clone Wars? Are we going to see them pull a series ending move? Will we see the Star Tours exclusives appearing in background shots, a robed Mickey, Donald and Goofy at one of the Jedi Council Meetings? I am just unable to comprehend what is going to be the future of the Star Wars franchise.

The original 'deLucased' trilogy on DVD/Blu-Ray. That's all I ask.

Re: Disney just bought LUCASFILM...

The interesting question is whether Hasbro will maintain their SW licenses with this shakeup...my gut says yes, but interested to see how it plays out.

p.s. Disney now owns 2/3s of childhood....

Haven't you heard? The next special edition of the OT will replace Obi-Wan Kenobi with a certain perfect rounded ears mascot, 3PO will now speak with Goofy's voice and Jar Jar Binks' dialogue will be replaced by Donald Duck's voice. (Which quite frankly would be an improvement personally.)
