I think in at least some of these threads people are asking for others opinions on the good and bad aspects of a figure, but they are just not wording it very well. They're not all just asking others to think for them.
Granted, perhaps some people should spend more time in the feedback forums researching the good/bad of the toys they have/are going to purchase before they make threads about the specific toy, but again, it is sort of a part of being a community that people can ask and answer questions about related things right?
And I'd say keep Megatron. It looks good, and even if he's not the most complex or flexible transformer out there, for 20$ it's a pretty nice deal.

Well said.
As for $20 leaders. You can't loose if buy it. If you don't like it, well, it's only $20. I don't think the chances are too good that you'll see him for that price again once they're all gone from retail. So, if your on the fence and pass on this deal, I think it'll sting more if you want it later than the regret of having bought it now.
