Re: Figure help
I have never had luck woth nail polish or crazy glue, but much like the tissue method, I use plastic wrap, wrap it aroung the joint and seems to work just fine.

This.
Plus, it's more manly that way.

If you're refering to the elbow joint with the pin in it. You can use sewing thread. Get a piece and work it into the joint and snip off the extra. It works just like glue/etc would work. It's a trick I use to use on GI-Joe elbow joints.

Results may vary depending on the gap size between the two joint parts. The larger the gap, you might have to either get thicker string or try wrapping the thread around the pin to fill the gap up. A lot depends on the joint and how much room you got to manipulate the thread. One of the draw backs is that over time the thread may work it's way back out. On the positive it's sort of a non-perminant solution that can be undone.

Bah. Tissues. That's...INGENIUS! I hate the nail polish/superglue technique. Makes my figures all smelly. This, however, is brilliant!
You sir, rock.

Same thing for ROTF soundwave although the legs sometimes pop out during transformation.
Any idea how to fix it?
And will the kleenix trick work for ROTF Sideswipe's arm?
|
Glad I could help! As for soundwave all I can think of is possibly using a smaller piece.
It looks like it might work for Sideswipe as long as it doesn't just bunch up and fall out. The worst than can happen is it won't work and you take it out so give it a try!

Thank you very much! I prefer to keep my collection pieces as original as possible and that requires any mods to be easily returned to minty fresh.
