Bruticus was reissued as part of the encore line (encore #16).

Platinum edition Predaking is the upcoming Hasbro reissue, and follows two Japanese reissues (one in 2004, and a gold (instead of yellow) version in 2010).

Just FYI, Piranacon was also reissued and sold exclusively through BBTS, and Devastator was reissued in the Encore lineup twice (Encore 20, and Encore 20A (anime coloured version).

Computron, Abominus, and Defensor have never been reissued either.

I think that's all the major combiners.
Quick Question:

What is the definitive list of all G1 combiner Decepticons, released back in the day? I have an idea as what's available now, but other than info I got from the catalogs, I'm not 100% certain.

Anybody know?...

what is your definition of combiner? if its just more than one robot you have 2 robot Powermasters Dreadwind and Darkwing, if its 6 robots that's the Constructicons (maybe the Japanese cartoon had others too?), if its 5 robots there are more than one on both sides of the ocean?

The ones post-Devastator, in his style (five or six bots).

The ones I can remember are Dev, Bruticus, Menasor, Piranacon, Predaking...that's about it. I think there may be one or two more.

Re: Were these ever produced/reissued?

Well, Bruticus will never look like the cartoon. In the cartoon his chest shield always looked like it was made from parts of blast off (which it isn't on the toy).

I don't think there are any difference from the G1 stickers and encore stickers, but I am open to being corrected.

G1 Cartoon Decepticons:

Devastator
Menasor
Bruticus
Piranhacon
Predaking
Abominus

G1 Cartoon Autobots:
Defensor
Superion
Computron

While not in the cartoons, technically Monstructor is a generation 1 Decepticon combiner, but he really is small and expensive, and most people aren't interested in him.

And also subject to GPS. So you may have to pay an arm and a leg for him just to have him disintegrate on you.

Reprolabels has a set of enhanced Bruticus/Combaticons stickers that looks different than the original G1 sticker set - this set tries to make everything look like the Combaticons in G1 TV animation. I got the enhanced stickers for Blast-off and it does look nice IMHO. YMMV, of course.

Re: Were these ever produced/reissued?

I distinctly remember shitting my kiddie drawers back on that fateful day of watching the episode where the Combaticons first merged into Bruticus...lol, ok, so I literally didn't SHIT in my PANTS but you could have imagined that it must have been pretty pretty cool to have another combiner that was even tougher than Devastator, lol
